T-City – a city that lives the future

  • T-City is the joint future lab of Deutsche Telekom and Friedrichshafen. Deutsche Telekom would like to put its vision of a “Connected life and work” into practice in a medium sized city in Germany. 

  • The city is located on Lake Constance and was selected as the T-City in February 2007 from a total of 51 applicants.

  • Up until 2012 T City Friedrichshafen will be a showcase for modern information and communication technology, demonstrating how it improves the quality of life and community in the city.

  • To achieve this, Deutsche Telekom set up modern broadband infrastructure with fixed-line and mobile coverage virtually everywhere within Friedrichshafen in 2007. 

  • The special feature: Projects and innovations were developed with the entire city, including citizens, companies, schools, organizations, research institutions and city administrations. 

  • More than 50 projects were implemented in T-City, for all areas of life.
