- Effective immediately, Deutsche Telekom became an accredited De-Mail provider. The German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) presented the company with the accreditation certificates at the computer trade fair CeBIT.
- With this accreditation, BSI recognizes that the Group has fulfilled the high technical and organizational security demands required by law.
- Michael Hange, President of the BSI: “I am pleased that following the successful accreditation, companies are able to offer the secure De-Mail, and I hope that this new service establishes itself as quickly as possible in Germany.”
- Following a pilot phase in T-City from October 2009 to March 2010 and after the completion of branch-specific projects, De-Mail was initially launched for large corporate customers of T-Systems nationwide on March 6. The offer is set to be available for retail and business customers sometime in the second quarter of 2012.
